Sierra Nevada Corporation Awards Sensing Systems Contract to Develop Video
Distribution Subsystem

SAN MATEO, Calif. -- September 1, 2009 -- Sensing Systems, Inc. (Sensing) has been awarded a contract by Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) to support the development of a video distribution subsystem for a notable United States government program.

The program provides a wide area airborne surveillance sensor that allows discrete, simultaneous multi-user access to multiple angles of a common image. The image surveillance sensor is designed to supplement full motion video surveillance systems already in place in unmanned craft with a wider, more detailed view. The system is planned for installation and initial fielding early in 2010.

Sensing will participate in the development of two applications that will both employ Sensing's Tungsten Media Toolkit. The first application, a video server, will be Tungsten Server based and will access JPIP imagery, encode, and deliver to the second application, a video client, which is web browser based. The video client will be Tungsten Client based and will control the display of media delivered from the video server.

In addition to supporting development of the video client and server applications, Sensing will also support SNC in software installation of and will participate in SNC's onsite testing.

Sensing is a provider of innovative media management, conversion, and exploitation software solutions.
